Construction of Boreholes |
Most rural communities in Ghana do not have access to portable, clean drinking water. Their sources of water are mostly from nearby water bodies such as rivers and lakes. Though the government is trying its best to provide such areas with water, we can see that it is not making any meaningful progress which will determine its completion in the shortest possible time. D.A.C.F wishes to supplement the government’s efforts by helping such communities with the necessary support to have boreholes which will go in the long ran to reduce the risk contracting water borne related diseases such guinea worm and the like |

Building Community Health Centers |
D.A.C.F wishes to build community health centers across the country. It seeks to build at least one health centre in every region of the country. Since every journey begins with a step D.A.C.F hopes to build one every year. D.A.C.F seeks to acquire lands in such communities through dialogue with the chiefs and people of the community. This move is intended to reduce the risk of having to move sick people who live in such communities over long distances to a hospital and to ease the pressure in the regional hospitals. This in the long ran is intended to reduce the mortality rate in such communities |

Setting up Community Libraries |
Since education is one of the key areas D.A.C.F seeks to promote, it wishes to establish community based libraries where children and adults alike can go and study and do researches in a conducive atmosphere. D.A.C.F will then encourage grass roots reading clubs which it’s already in support of, to make good use of the facility. Schools in such communities will also be encouraged to participate in the activities of the library |
